WHY DO WE EVANGELIZE?
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” — Mark 16:15 NKJV
In the beginning, God created mankind to live in fellowship with Him. But when sin entered the world, it brought separation from God, sickness, pain, darkness, and death. God did not abandon mankind—He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16 NKJV
Jesus willingly gave His life on the cross, shed His blood, and paid the price for our sins. On the third day, He rose again by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus saves, heals and delivers, baptizes in the Holy Spirit and fire, and is coming again!
We Have Been Sent
Jesus came “to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). As His followers, His mission must become our mission. Evangelism is not only for pastors or evangelists—every believer has been called to share the gospel. People cannot believe unless someone tells them. We cannot simply wait for the lost to enter the church; we must reach them in our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, streets, hospitals, and communities.
“As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” — John 20:21 NKJV
Empowered by the Holy Spirit
God has not sent us alone. Acts 1:8 promises that we receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon us to become His witnesses. The gospel does not come through words alone, but through the power, love, and presence of God.
We are Christ’s ambassadors—His hands, feet, and voice in this generation. The world is a harvest field filled with people searching for hope, healing, truth, and salvation. We have the answer: Jesus Christ.
October Evangelism Challenge
Choose three people who need Jesus:
1. Write down their names.
2. Pray for them daily.
3. Share the gospel with them.
4. Invite and personally bring them to church.
5. Encourage them as they grow in Christ.
The Great Commission is not merely a suggestion—it is our assignment.
